Have you tried the store-bought cheese wraps? If you answered yes to this question. I sincerely hope that you love this homemade keto cheese wrap recipe. May it be comparable, or better!

If you answered no. I hope you will enjoy this alternative as much as our family has.

Folios have been all the craze in the keto community for some time now. I personally have never tried them. Don’t get me wrong I am sure they are delicious, and I know they are a convenient alternative. However, I personally have not been able to justify the cost.

The average cost of a store-bought cheese wrap is approximately $1.50 a wrap. Costco does offer a much better cost per wrap. But for anyone on a budget, like our family, these wraps are too much of a novelty item.

Excited wouldn’t even begin to describe how I feel about this recipe. My goal lately has been to provide you with easy keto alternatives. This recipe is just that.

These no-carb cheese only wraps are the easiest recipe, and only require one ingredient. Had I known that they would be this easy I would have tried them a long time ago.

I hope this recipe inspires you to try cheese wraps for the first time. Or, that it might encourage you to try homemade cheese wraps over store-bought.

Making these homemade cheese only wraps are easy on the budget. This is also a no stress easy and fun recipe.

To make my cheese wraps I used Kirkland’s pre-shredded mozzarella cheese and a small amount of parmesan cheese.

A 2.5 lb bag of shredded mozzarella cheese will cost you roughly $5.50. 1.13 kg or 2.5 lbs of cheese is equal to 1130 grams of pre-shredded cheese.

1130 grams/ 30 grams = 36.66 homemade keto cheese wraps

That means each homemade cheese wrap costs $0.16. Talk about cost savings!!

The microwave cheese wrap also was also easy to meal prep, and have handy and ready to go. The texture is also a welcomed addition for me to an egg fast.

Notes

The shredded cheese that you use will affect how oily the cheese is once melted. I have only made this recipe using Kirkland pre-shredded mozzarella and parmesan. I will also be testing out this recipe with cheddar, gouda, pepper jack, and a Mexican cheese blend.

Shredding the cheese yourself is also a great way to save money, but it may not melt the same. Or it is possible that once melted the cheese will be oily. If this happens to you, stir the melted cheese until it comes back together. Then place the melted cheese on the parchment paper, and follow the remaining instructions. Just something to be aware of,

Please let me know what cheese you use, and how it turns out so that we can all learn from each other.
