Crispy Oven Baked Pepperoni Chips

Crispy pepperoni chips are a fantastic addition to your low carb/ keto lifestyle. Once cool these chips are versatile and can hold up to most keto-friendly dips. This is another simple yet delicious keto recipe to keep in your low carb recipe arsenal.
The best part about these crispy pepperoni chips is they bake so quickly!
The most time-consuming part of this recipe is waiting for the oven to preheat. Watch the chips closely while they’re baking because they can burn very quickly. On average I bake the chips for 6 minutes. Never longer than 8 minutes, and never shorter than 4 minutes. Since over temperatures vary so much, I recommend not walking away from the kitchen the first couple of times you make this recipe.
I have attempted to air fry pepperoni chips but the result was not as consistent as my oven method. There are also plenty of recipes for microwave pepperoni chips, which are great in a pinch. I find my favorite method to consistently be oven-baked.
Why I Love These Crispy Pepperoni Chips So much:
I started making these pepperoni chips very early on in our keto journey and they were a game-changer. My favorite thing about pepperoni chips is they’re more satiating. I think it is pretty safe to say that it is pretty hard to overeat these. I enjoy eating these chips by themselves, with tuna or chicken salad, guacamole, spinach, and artichoke dip, and of course, ranch or french onion type dips too. I also recommend pairing these chips with a delicious salad, if you like to have a little crunch and miss croutons.
My favorite pepperoni to use is:
Thinly sliced pepperoni from my grocery store deli counter, but not ultra-thin. My local store primarily has Boar’s Head meat, so that is typically what we buy. I like getting my pepperoni thinly sliced because it ends up a lot more crispy and chip-like. Another benefit to thinly sliced pepperoni is that you’re able to stretch the meat a lot further. For both of these reasons, I recommend buying this cut of meat directly from your local deli counter.

Instructions
- For thicker pepperoni bake at 325° until crispy. This will take about 10-15 minutes.
- For thin pepperoni bake at 350° for approximately 6 minutes.
- Keep an eye on the chips, they will burn fast!
Notes
Enjoy these pepperoni chips with some ranch, guacamole, spinach artichoke dip, or any other keto-friendly dip that you enjoy. I also love to pair these chips with tuna or chicken salad at lunch time.
For the best results, I recommend going to your deli counter and asking them to slice the pepperoni nice and thin. Not only do you get more for your money, the result is a much more crisp chip.
